About TealTeacher

TealTeacher started in 2024 when our founders — a maths teacher in Adelaide and a software engineer in Sydney — realised most online tutoring tools were designed for the tutor's convenience, not the student's progress. We built TealTeacher around a simple principle: every minute a student spends in the platform should be a minute spent learning, not configuring their environment. Today we serve students across Australia and New Zealand preparing for HSC, NCEA, and IB exams, with a roster of subject specialists who teach the way they wished they'd been taught.

What we believe

Software for small teams should feel like a tool, not a tax. We build TealTeacher to be the thing you reach for because it helps, not because IT made you. Every feature decision goes through one question: does this make the next thing the customer wants to do easier, or harder?

Where we are

We're a small team based in Adelaide, Australia, with friends and family scattered across two continents. We're customer-funded — there's no VC clock ticking. That lets us answer support questions ourselves and ship things we'd want to use.
